Together Glasgow and Together Edinburgh sites go live

Over the past few weeks we’ve been brainstorming how we can use our skills to help people in this very testing time. Our Digital Manager, Gordon, had a brain-wave in the middle of the night to create two new websites where people can post and search for services being offered around the Glasgow and Edinburgh areas. And with that, the domain names were registered and work began the next day.
www.togetherglasgow.com and www.togetheredinburgh.com were developed to support businesses and local people and to show that Glasgow and Edinburgh really are working together to get through these challenging times.
We’ve been seeing a lot of people and businesses sharing the fantastic services they are offering, but because of the nature of social media, the information soon disappears as new content is posted.
The idea behind Together Glasgow and Together Edinburgh is to provide a more permanent resource and listings of services which people can filter by location or type of service required. These can range from businesses offering delivery/takeaway food and drink to individuals who can offer to pick up groceries for those who aren’t able to leave the house – and many across other services.
It’s absolutely free for people to post on the sites and we imagine people will come up with all sorts of ways they can help each other. All that we ask is that people use it sensibly, adhere to the government’s advice, and stay safe. We’d also ask businesses and others to spread the word about the sites so that as many people as possible in the community can get access to the information.
As a company, we’ve been delivering design and marketing services to clients in Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond for more than 30 years and we decided that the time was right to step up and support local businesses and the local community by creating these sites. We very much hope that they are useful to people in the cities.
You can visit www.togetherglasgow.com and www.togetheredinburgh.com to list the services you are offering or to see what support is on offer in your local area. Please share with anyone you think they may help.
