Grieg Seafood Hjaltland Ltd



In an ambitious move, salmon producer and processor, Grieg Seafood Hjaltland, launched its own brand of fresh, smoked and marinated salmon products in the marketplace.

Our brief was clear: to focus on the environment that makes the product special – the natural (and often wild) conditions in which the fish are reared and the quality and elegance of the product. There was also a requirement to demonstrate the individuality of the range through the innovative flavours that the company planned to introduce. The chosen brand had to create real impact not only for the company but for Shetland as a whole.

The result was WildWaters, a carefully positioned award-winning brand that is now listed in major supermarkets.   The distinctive black and gold packs not only capture the prestige of the range, the aperture on the front of the pack perfectly frames the product, showing the customer exactly what they are buying.

The photography on the packs was directed and styled in-house to illustrate each variety and the ingredients used to create the unique flavours, and to capture the texture of the fish itself.
